The Numeracy focus in P6/7 this week was on planning a Christmas dinner while managing a budget. Children were assigned to cater for 2, 4, or 10 guests and had a list of required ingredients. Their task was to work in pairs to compare prices and find the best bargains by looking at products from Asda and Tesco. Some couldn’t believe the price of some items! They had to use their mental maths skills as they worked out the required weight and totalled up their spending. Fantastic work everyone!
