P6/7 Residential to The Jungle 2025
There was lots of excitement this past week as the boys and girls from P6/7 headed off on their one night residential to The Jungle in Moneymore. We left school bright and early with our many many bags and arrived ready for the day's activities. Upon arrival, the children split into two groups and rotated around a range of activities such as trampolining, paintball, archery, riding the rodeo bull, rock climbing, body zorb football (a firm favourite from both the boys and the girls - although I don't know if much football was played!), llama walking, pedal boats and lots more! After lunch the children strapped on their harnesses and made their way to the high ropes course followed by some team building games. Before leaving The Jungle for the day, we made a much anticipated stop at the tuck shop to get some sweet treats before heading to our accommodation for the evening.
Upon arrival, the boys and girls settled into their rooms before toasting some marshmallows, making smores and sharing some of their favourite moments of the day. To finish off our first day, the children took part in a Dutch auction and Minute to Win It Challenges where there was fierce competition, prizes to be one and lots of laughs.
After a "bit" of sleep, the children were up bright and early to get bags and suitcases packed before a delicious breakfast of homemade pancakes (thanks to Mrs Johnston). Once we were all filled up, we packed our belongings onto the bus and headed to Splash. Once everybody was wet-suited up, we made a splash into the water and made our way through the many obstacles and down the slides. Following our time on the waterpark we finished off our day by testing our balancing skills on paddle-boards and kayaks.
The boys and girls had a fantastic time away. They were brilliant representatives of their school and got involved in every aspect of the trip. Lots of smiles, laughs and memories that will last a lifetime!
