We recently enjoyed our final Roots of Empathy visit with Baby George, bringing to a close a truly wonderful journey that we have shared with him throughout the year. The children have loved welcoming George into our classroom each month, watching him grow and develop and learning valuable lessons about empathy, emotions and relationships through his visits.
A very special thank you goes to George’s mum, Chantelle, for her commitment to the programme and for taking the time to bring George to school each month. We are also incredibly grateful for the thoughtful gifts she gave us to mark the end of the programme, including the delicious cake, memory bags and the beautiful framed photograph, which will be proudly displayed in our school.
As a small token of our appreciation, the boys and girls in P1/2/3 presented George with a football signed by everyone in the class. We hope he enjoys it and remembers all of his friends here!
