There was quite a storm brewing today in the P6/7 classroom when we experimented with ice in a basin of water to discover what it was like for the Titanic passengers in the freezing waters of the Atlantic on that fateful night in April 1912. The water only reached 2 degrees below freezing, even with 2 full bags of ice, but it really let us see what the effects must have been like. I think those facial expressions say it all!
